NCAA RUNDOWN: Lafayette splits with Navy; Muhlenberg makes playoffs

The Lafayette men opened the second half of Patriot League play in style Saturday night, cruising to a 70-47 win at Navy.

Four Leopards scored in double figures in the win, led by Joey Ptasinski's 15 points, including 4-of-5 from three-point range.

Dan Trist finished with 13, Seth Hinrichs had 12, and Zach Rufer added 11 for Lafayette.

The Leopards improve to 5-3 in the Patriot League with the win.

The Lafayette women took two-time defending Patriot League champion Navy into overtime on Saturday before falling 60-52 at the Kirby Sports Center.

The Leopards led much of the way before falling behind late in regulation.

A layup by Maddie Peabody with 3.4 seconds left sent things into overtime.

The Leopards saw their three-game winning streak snapped with the loss.? They fall to 3-5 in Patriot League play.

The Muhlenberg men and women each clinched Centennial Conference playoff berths with wins on the road at McDaniel on Saturday.

The men overcame a 16-point deficit to earn a thrilling, 83-82 win.

The women won much more easily, posting a 67-47 win.

The Moravian men and women swept a doubleheader from Susquehanna at Johnston Hall on Saturday.

The men earned a 77-60 win to improve to 6-6 in the Landmark Conference.

The women won 68-51 to clinch one of the top two seeds in the Landmark Conference Tournament.
